Chair's Report - Annemarie Cross

And it all comes down to WHAT you focus on.

I’m the first to admit that I can easily get distracted, IF I let myself.

Distractions which include:

  • Conversations on social media and hanging out online with no real purpose or intention;
  • A new business idea (or creative project) that has no relevance to my 30-, 60- or 90-day business goal;

  • Cleared my desk and office of clutter;
  • Set myself 30-minute time slots to see how much work I can get done in that time.
  • Comparing ourselves to what our competitors are doing and feeling inadequate with where we are in our business growth;
  • Agreeing to speak (or attend) networking events I know just aren’t aligned with the direction my business is headed, just to name a few.

Here’s to focusing on the RIGHT things.

Have a great month!
